This question cannot be answered as if it asked your opinion of hamburgers, because evaluating the essence and work of Joseph Smith are not matters of taste, but but must solidly on his factual history, his actual character, his inordinate accomplishments, and his lasting legacy. After all that has been said about Joseph Smith, both good or evil, there remains the Church and Gospel that he was commissioned to restore to the earth, and that have transformed the lives of millions of those that through his instrumentality and teachings have reached greater understandings of Almighty God as their Father in Heaven, and of His Son Jesus Christ as the One sent by the Father to be the Saviour and Redeemer of the world through the shedding of His innocent blood on Calvary's Cross. |
