It isn't me, but Jesus who says that those that tell other people not to commit the same sins they are committing are hypocrites. He was especially harsh on Pharisees for their hypocrisy. Pharisees believed that they were the Parush, or Upright, Perfect People, and as such ideally placed and divinely appointed, they believed, to tell other people what to do, what to believe, and how to do it.
Reach Out Trust [ROT] is the modern day equivalent of the hypocritical Pharisees that Jesus denounced as alien to him and his Father. ROT's attack on the popular Pokémon® game slams it as part of Satan's occult armoury that is out to get your kids, and any other unwary person that could be drawn into its funnelled web whose far end rests in the Fires of Hell!
This is one paragraph that illustrates their cynical hypocrisy. The shocking thing is that they do not have the insight to see that what they slam Pokémon for is exactly what they do themselves in their day-to-day ministry! For example, the following "Win by Destroying others" is from the Pokémon® game rule book. ROT makes the following editorial remarks:
"The ‘spirit’ of the game ['Win by destroying others'] is the exact opposite of the Spirit of Christ.
Here we seek to destroy each other. Friends become enemies and enemies are to be destroyed.
There is no consideration for the other person simply that ‘I’ want to be the best master there is.
In other words it is ‘self’ of the worse kind that is uppermost."
The sole purpose for ROT's existence is to tear down and destroy the sacred faith of others. ROT obligingly publishes a hit-list of their 'enemies,' so you don't have to wonder if you are on their hit list.
If ROT thinks that destroying the sacred faith of other people that do not share their narrow, delusional mindsets, is being obedient to the Spirit of Christ then I need to check their Bibles out. I use the Authorised Version, and cannot find Jesus setting up any hate ministries like ROT. Perhaps if I could see ROT's version of the Holy Bible I would find the answer.
If not, then I know from my own King James Bible that Jesus didn't approve of terrorist tactics, and ROT are hypocrites running a profitable 'ministry' for the cash they can fleece from their gullible dupes.
Some games are much worse for a person's character and eternal outlook than Pokémon® is, and the ROT Game is among the worst. Why?
Because ROT teaches hate not love.
Because ROT teaches to destroy not to create.
Because ROT teaches to tear down not to build up, and
Because ROT follows the destroyer not Jesus Christ.
Maureen Davies, maybe even Doug Harris, would be frantic if they were to learn that the Flagship Journal of Reach Out Trust [ROT] has carried an article stating that Dungeons and Dragons and its offshoots are not dangerous at all.
