AS INDICATED in the heading, these stories are little more than the honest ramblings of an old man remembering his past life and the lives of those he loved, feared, respected, or in any way otherwise made contact in a long. hectic, and often confusing life.

I do not claim my memory to be accurate, but this is how I think I remember the things I think I remember.  I do my best to remember exactly what happened, or what I remember as happening, and in some instances what I believe must have happened.  If you were with me at the time and happen to remember it differently than I do, let me know and I will make a footnote of your remembrance.

This is not an apologia pro vita sua, because I am a truthful person at heart and I believe that I have both forgiven those that sinned against me, and having been forgiven for my sins against others, I am now free to make some more mistakes.

The stories are in no particular order, do not follow themes, keynotes, patterns, or plans.  I put them in where I happen to be when I dig them out of what I laughingly call my mind.

I hope that you will enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed remembering and writing them.  If you still owe me any money - and you know who you are - then consider the debts forgiven, forgotten, and never to be spoken of again.

Ah, yes, one final note: some tales are purely imaginary.  However, you will not experience any difficulty recognising which are true and which are the result of a creative - even when I would not - mind that often surprises its owner at some of the highways and byways down which it travels.

All love and go pleasant
